Software Patents Now

Hopefully, you will have read a little on this site - enough to explain software patents to you, and why we consider them to be dangerous. The situation is also not a static one - there is currently a lot of pressure from certain quarters to introduce software patenting in Europe, which would be disastrous for developers. Because there is so much going on, this page will be dedicated to "tracking" the latest actions of the patent lobby, and other news, with particular regard to the situation in the UK.

The thorough and in-depth FFII site - which is a great site to find out more after you've read the introductory material here - also have a news section which covers all the European movements that occur.
